Our aim is to photograph children as people, in a respectful, eloquent way while pulling out enough stops to keep them engaged and interested... or at least between the back drop and the light!  You'd be amazed at what comes out of these moments.  Our favorite aspect of the Llittle Legends portraits is the idea that these still frames capture truth about each individual and that they are presented in a way that tells us and them, that they are important. 

The cost of the session is $199.00/child.  Each child requires their own booking.

4 hi-res digital fles, of your choice, are included from a curated gallery of approximately 20 images.

Additional files and prints are available for prchase through the gallery.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for each booking.  Deposits may only be refunded within 24 hours of booking.  If you need to reschedule your session, please give us at least one week's notice so that we have a chance to fill the spot.

Without one week's notice, deposits are non-transferable. 

A 10% sibling discount applies to families booking three or more sessions at the time of booking.  After you book your sessions the price will be adjusted prior to your balance payment date.

Each session is approximately 15 minutes. 

Our style works for ages 6 months - 102 years!  That said...

There is no age limit, however, it is required that babies are able to sit up on their own or hold themselves sturdy with assistance from a parent. 

We love working with older Children and teenagers too!  For anyone over 18 please reach out if you're interested in a session., we may need to book outside of our mini sessions. 

Galleries are sent out approximately 7 days after the shoot, this allows our team to edit all of the images so that they are ready to download as soon as you place your order.

This is an important point!

Dress your child in plain and simple clothing so that nothing defines or distracts from their expression and natural personality (no ruffles, collars, fancy sleeves, logos or patterns).

Make sure that your child's face is clean before you arrive (many childen do not like having their faces wiped, it is best to do it before hand allowing the portrait process to be a positive experience.)  Moisturize their face, arms, and hands a day before the session, and come free of crumbs, boogies, and gum!

Hair as natural/simple as possible with no accessories unless it is a cultural hairstyle.

Remove chipped nail polish and temporary tattoos.

To allow for the best contrast, we recommend staying away from grey or mid-toned shirts.  Decide if you prefer white or dark shirts. 

We aim for genuine reactions and expressions, and find that sometimes too much prep can hinder the child's willingness to participate.  The main thing is to let them know that this will be a fun experience.  We find that great results come from kids feeling that there is no pressure to perform. 

Our editing team will remove any temporary imperfections such as bruises, scratches/scabs, etc. The timing seems right for kids to injure themselves when parents have photos scheduled!  If there is swelling or anything questionable, feel free to send us a photo so we can assess if we should reschedule or move forward with the session. 

When yor child is being photographed it is up to you and them if you'd like to be close by or to step away while they express themselves.

The main thing is to allow the photographer to build a rapport with your child, capturing their attention and focus.

With younger children and "runners" we can count on it being a team effort and a bit of a work out!

We shoot many frames to get the best images and expressions, so let them do their thing.  The best results come with less pressure and more fun!

Connecting with your kiddo and bringing out their natural expressions is our specialty, it can take some time to get there.  Please keep phones and tablets put away.  We will only use these distractions and entertainment as a last resort if needed.

We like to photograph siblings together at the end of their individual sessions, however, we can't guarantee group participation.  Sometimes it's magic and sometimes it doesn't work out. 

Little Legends doesn't offer family portrait sessions.  Please don't ask your photographer to capture family photos during your session.

Many of our photographers offer family portraits in their own unique styles, seperate from the work they do with Little Legends.  We are happy to put you in touch with them to arrange family portraits on a day that they can give it the proper time and attention. 

Yes, we do offer pet portraits!  Not for our Little Legends session days.  Many of our Little Legends are afraid of pets and we don't want to put anyone else's session in jeopardy.  

These sessions are scheduled very tightly together to accomodate everyone.  If you are wanting a pet session, we would be happy to schedule that session on a day that gives your pet the attention they deserve!

Absolutely!  You will receive all of the images in both B&W and Color in your gallery!  We will also have a couple other surprises for you!!

Yes, there are options for individual digital images, collections, wall portrais and prints of all sizes.  A price list can be sent to you upon request. 

We always recommend printing with professional labs!  There is so much variance that can happen in printing, it is worth spending more for high quality.  Promise.  If you'd like some direction with this, reach out and let us know and we can make some suggestions.
